Rug Weaving Technique

The outline of a rug loom looks like a wooden frame. Warp threads are vertically wound around the loom parallel to each other, depending on the type and size of the rug. After preparing the warp, a chain like plait is woven, leaving a margin of fringes and then a few cm wide kilim weaving is done so as to prevent the pile knots from shifting and dropping out.
