Circa 1890's Antique Turkish prayer rug from "Kayseri" city of Central Anatolia which is globally known for it's fine quality weavings.
This kilim is not made in a workshop but made in a village of Kayseri for the weaver's personal use, probably for religious praying since it has the "mihrab" design which represents the praying direction in Islamic mosques.
100% hand spun wool on wool, natural dyes.
Condition of the rug is not good as you can see on the photos (please check last 3 photos clearly) it is generally worn. Since it is made in 1890's it is totally acceptable condition for it's age. We don't repair and sell it as it is to keep the originality and antiquity of this amazing kilim rug.
