Circa 1920's antique Turkish square kilim rug from Western Anatolian nomads. This type of square shaped kilims are also called "Sofrah" probably because of they were used on tables as tapestry. "Sofra" means "dining table" in Turkish.
This kilim is made of goat wool. Patterns on the kilim are hand embroideried knit by knit with traditional Turkish nomad signs
Condition of the kilim is not good, please check the photos clearly. There is no any hole on the rug but generally the rug is worn as you can see and the fringes of the rug is uneven. These defects gives this kilims its beauty and natural&antique look.
