Circa 1950's Turkish pile rug from "Kars" city of North Eastern Turkey.
100% hand spun wool on wool
Brown and beige colors (main,background colors) on this rug are undyed, they are natural colors of the sheeps wool. Also as you can see one edge of the rug has a darker starting then it finishes like a line and rest of the rug is woven with lighter color wools. This is a weaving technique called "abrash" and it is used on many old Anatolian rugs
Condition of the rug is very good for its age. There is no any defect to mention about.
